Created 3 year product strategy
➸ Using my vision template as the guide, I worked with product leadership to create the material they used to get buy-in across the company
➸ This includes storyboards describing the vision through the eyes of the enduser
➸ We did all this within 3 months, and this process has become the new yearly product planning process
Created 3 year roadmap
➸ We created a high level roadmap describing the major projects it would take to get us to the 3 year vision
➸ I provided a "one pager" template used to describe each project - what it is, why we're doing it, what success looks like, etc. - that each PM filled out
➸ IT, in concert with cross functional teams, created cost estimates for each
➸ Estimates were created in 3 weeks, record time for the company, and are documented in the form of a "deck of project cards”
Overhauled PDLC
➸ I audited the steps it normally took to launch digital projects
➸ I introduced a streamlined, industry standard framework specific to digital project execution called Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC)
➸ Result: reduced project definition time by 50%, increased efficiencies, dramatically less time spent on process
Introduced OKR’s
➸ I introduced a standardized OKR framework with the goal of changing how we measure success and hold ourselves accountable
➸ Significant mind shift from focusing on the number of launches and launching on time and on budget, to customer impact and revenue outcomes
➸ This is keeping GM’s focused on what’s most important in order to win
Interim GM
➸ I stepped into this role while the company was looking for a full time hire
➸ Provided critical leadership to 3 directors and their teams during a time of transition and instability
➸ Wins included auditing existing product research, helping the team create its 3 year vision and roadmap, OKR creation and onboarding the new GM
